Xbox Series X wont go 120hz at 1080p

Hello Community,

I've been trying to set my xbox to 120hz manually, meaning, going to video fidelity and overscan - Overrides - HDMI, then manually putting the resolution to 1080P, when i try to set the refresh rate to 120hz my screen goes black, monitor (ACER predator XB273) go idle (power led turs to yellow) and nothing happens, i have to press A since is already on "Cancel" not "Keep changes" so it ca go back to 60HZ. I dont know if im doing something wrong, please assist.

I found your monitor manual and found this information. I'm afraid it doesn't support 120hz on the HDMI port

Did you check the monitor manual if it has this Hz rate for the HDMI output? Maybe only works above 60hz for displayPort

For the Xbox one X you have to choose one or the other reguardless of the monitors specs. Either 1080p at 120hz or 1440p at 60hz. The Series X thats coming in November will support 4k at 120hz at the same time. 👍
