Xbox Series X won’t connect

Given that connect was not that much of a success it probably won’t have one but they haven’t said anything if you will be able to use an Xbox one connect on Xbox series X so hopefully you can

My Xbox X series just said update an I pressed update console but it won’t update

I have a similar issue whit my Series X. As soon as i start the console, I go directly to a game and it tells me I am not connected.

Instead of rebooting the console I just wait for 30-60 seconds and it connects.

I believe it it just the console going through the steps to connect to the router then establish a connection to the internet.

Can I suggest you power of the console, wait a few minutes, then power it back on.

After this wait for 30-60 seconds and it will most likely connect.

When you changed TV and HDMI cables, did you use the SOURCE option on the TV remote to ensure you are using the correct HDMI socket that is connected to the console. (ie) set HDMI 1 or 2 or 3 on the SOURCE menu if that's how the console is connected.

If you already tested more than one HDMI cable and also changed ports, I would suggest you to perform a display reset on your console.

Please also perform a power reset first:

1​​. Turn off your console and your router/modem.

2. Unplug all the cables from both devices (power, HDMI, etc..) and wait 2 minutes.

3. After 2 minutes, plug all the cables in again on your router/modem and wait for all the lights to show up.

​​​4. Plug all the cables on your console and turn it on.

Display reset:

1. If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console. Unplug all cables from it, wait for 5 minutes and plug again.

3. Then, press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start up in low resolution mode (the Xbox startup screen will appear slightly pixelated).

4. In either case, this will start up your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To change this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Go to Profile & system > Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution you want from the Display dropdown.
