Xbox series X with now with Strict NAT after upgrading router

Select the Test network connection tile.
Follow the on-screen steps to ensure your Xbox console connects to your network.
Navigate to the port forwarding tools on your router. This action once again varies between models, so search for specifics on your router.

2. Port Forwarding: If enabling UPnP doesn’t work, you can try port forwarding. Port forwarding involves manually opening the necessary ports for online gaming. Here are the ports that you need to forward:

Port 88 (UDP)
Port 3074 (UDP and TCP)
Port 53 (UDP and TCP)
Port 80 (TCP)
Port 500 (UDP)
Port 3544 (UDP)
Port 4500 (UDP)

3. DMZ: If neither of the above step's work, you can try placing your Xbox Series X in the DMZ (demilitarized zone) of your router. It went to 'moderate' right after I unselected and reselected upnp, but now it's back to strict. Is this a router issue or is this a known xbox one issue? I've never saw a strict nat in my 6 years on 360.

After you run "Test Xbox LIVE connection" press “Y” for "More Info”. In the pop-up that appears, what are the following values, if shown? NAT ERROR

Steps in video did not fix the error and it is not even the same router as mine as the video is a year old.

ZYXEL P-600 SERIES, had an older Belkin router that had open NAT and recently switched to this NETGEAR router which gives strict NAT.

Perform a network test from your xbox console. If you get IPV4 that means strict NAT and you need to upgrade to IPV6.

For info on upgrading your connection contact your ISP

Not all IPv4 connections are strict and even if the NAT type is strict it can be opened. - There is no need to upgrade to IPv6

ok after having my xbox 360 in dmz i put the one in dmz still strict nat took it back out got an open nat shut xbox down and restarted now i have a moderate nat says its behind a upnp port restricted nat have turned upnp off rebooted router turned upnp on
