    Xbox Series X will not allow me to add an account


    Hello, my xbox series x will not allow me to add an account. whenever I try to add an account it does the loading ring and kicks back out to the screen it was previously on without any error message. Originally, the xbox was signing my account out for no reason so I went looking for solutions to that issue, but since I removed that account, it will not let me add one back to the xbox. I have tried the following:

    - cycling my xbox power (holding power button, unplugging power for 2 minutes)

    - unplugging my router

    - resetting the xbox both with saving games and apps and then without

    - ethernet cable directly plugged to the xbox and repeating the previous steps

    - hotspot on my phone to see if a different connection would work

    I am not sure any other means to fix the issue. Xbox services are not reporting any issues.

    I own the game on the Xbox series x but it won't allow me to connect the game to my profile which is on the Xbox series x and so it does not let me play online, If that makes sense.

    DLC and add-ons are linked to your account so as long as you can play the games on the new Xbox one series x then it shouldn't be a problem. Xbox had said that the Series X will be backward compatible so it is great!

    It is a Game Pass which my son wants to add to his account. It came with the Xbox Series X he had for Christmas.

    Same here (Germany, Xbox Series X, Game Pass Ultimate).

    I have downloaded the Game Pass iOS app which allows me to select on which Xbox (One X or Series X) I want to install the game on but it fails with "Es ist ein Problem aufgetreten" (An Error occurred).

    Hi Cameron!

    What exactly is the error message he's getting?

    Please ask your friend to go to his account privacy settings on https://account.xbox.com/Settings then click on Xbox Series X/S privacy tab then make sure that "You can add friends" is set to "Allow" at the bottom part and save changes.
