Xbox series X virtual keyboard always in speech to text input

Discus and support Xbox series X virtual keyboard always in speech to text input in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; Does anyone know of a way to disable to voice input on the Xbox virtual keyboard?     Xbox series X virtual keyboard always in speech to text input


    Does anyone know of a way to disable to voice input on the Xbox virtual keyboard? Can't find anything anywhere about it but when ever I try to type on the keyboard, it loads up quick as anything but when you click any letter it tries to do voice to text as an input. But that takes ages to load and also not what I'm wanting to do.

    I've had a look online but only things showing are text to speech assistance help but nothing for the virtual keyboard.

    Hi

    Perhaps the feature was turned off after a recent update?

    Below is a guide on how to check and enable it again if it is indeed turned off:

    Turn on game transcription

    On Xbox One

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, then select System > Settings > Ease of Access > Game transcription.
    2. To transcribe other players' voices into text, select Speech-to-text on.
    3. To have your chat text read aloud to other players, select Text-to-speech on. To choose the voice that other players will hear when your chat text is read aloud, select one of the available voices in the Text-to-speech voice menu.
    4. To have games read aloud certain words that appear on the screen, select Let games read to me.
    I already tryed that.

    I also have this problem and cannot find a solution. To make matters worse, Cortana settings still exist but do nothing but give a message about Cortana going away. This has something to do with a recent update for sure.
