    Xbox Series X Video Issues with LG OLED TVs


    I am having various video related issues with my Xbox Series X in combination with my LG C1 TV. After researching my issues, it is apparent that my issues are shared with many other Xbox Series X users in combination with any of the LG OLED TVs; including my C1, the CX, and the C2, among others. In summary, I receive "invalid format", blank, and static screen errors at random when streaming content. These issues seem to happen when the Xbox's video settings are set to 4k and 120Hz, though I have had it happen at 60Hz once. When this happens I need to restart the Xbox and it often reboots in 480p without sound. Restarting again will typically revert itself back to the 4k 120Hz setting.

    Changing HDMI cables and replacement of the TV motherboard did not resolve the issue. An LG Engineer responded to a fellow redditor here: https://www.reddit.com/r/LGOLED/com.../?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web2x&context=3

    I opened a ticket with Microsoft detailing LG's response. Please upvote this feedback.
