Xbox series x using a phone wi-fi hotspot

My nephew is on house arrest, ya I know, he has no wifi but he has the Hotspot on his phone has anyone tried this or even know if it would work.

The Xbox console can be connected to a mobile hotspot if your carrier doesn’t have restrictions.

As soon as your nephew enable the mobile hotspot they can see the Wi-Fi network created in the console

This really depends on the phone signal and the speed of the mobile carrier
In some cases it’s enough, but if the signal is not very good your nephew can experience lag or unexpected disconnections

If your mobile data plan includes the hotspot feature, you can turn on the phone's wi-fi hotspot, and then connect the Xbox to that hotspot as if it were any other wi-fi router. But be aware that most plans have a limit on how much data you can use to tether,
and the Xbox would probably use a lot.

I tried everything as you suggested, but the issue persists. The Xbox One will connect to my mobile hotspot, but not to my Wi-Fi suddenly. My phone, Fire Stick, Xbox 360, and Switch can connect just fine to Wi-Fi.

Oh no, that's a shame. At least we tried, sorry it did not work

I will be trying this on my series x this afternoon, and hope any one of the options work for my issue
