Xbox series x unable to save progress offline. Please help.

Yes, that could be the reason, so if you have subscription, just like Microsoft 365 or other service you subscribed with, you are required to go online couple of days or before your subscription run out (it depends). Your services might stop working and your progress may have little to no chance of saving if you do not sync into cloud. Another reason is that you are trying to access a service or feature of the game that can be updated only if online and/or you have not synced your game for more than 30 days.

You do not have to delete any of your games. To answer your question, you can only sign into your gamer profile when you are online. If you are still not on schedule to online your console, then you may have to play other games installed offline. If all your games require you to sign in then you will have to do so.

What we can suggest for you is to contact your ISP on how to make your network signal stronger in your area that you do not have to turn off your game console, move the console to connect it to the network and sync the game. You may try investing to Wi-Fi dongle or try hotspot using your mobile data and see if you can get your console to connect. Otherwise, you may lose your game by moving to another room.

Thank you Kathy for your swift reply.

Problem is that in order to get online I need to switch off my XBOX and take it to another room where I can get network signal.

When I do that all progress is gone. I'm not switching off XBOX for a few days, and can play HALO 3 so far, Fallout New Vegas is I die will ask me to load the game so I need to start from beginning. Fallout 3 is getting stuck, frozen.

Really don't understand why will game ask me to sign in in my gamer profile if I am online.

The games I trying to play are Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3. I have game pass and I bought these games with game pass account and download them to my XBOX. Other game is HALO 3 for which I have DISK but also have same issue.

Could it be that is somehow related to my game pass subscription?

My game pass expiring on 15th September, and I cancel renewal, so I hope something will change.

Also I have Redfall installed.

Maybe also to delete that?

Anyway, shouldn't be like that , I mean if I am offline how can I log into my gamer profile?

If you have any ideas I will be happy to try.

If not I will wait till 16th September, and try again then.

Saving needs syncing locally and to the cloud, should you have issues in offline, we recommend being online in saving your games progress. We understand that you have limited time in connecting your console online. Should you have issues on specific game, please make sure to get all your games online when you the time have come for you to use the network. Only by then you can play your games offline and set your Xbox Console offline back. Please follow the steps below:

1. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
   
2. Select Settings > General > Network settings.
   
3. Select Go online.
   
4. Sync all progress you had with your games by launching all games.
   
5. Restart console and set offline again.
   
6. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
   
7. Select Settings > General > Network settings.
   
8. Select Go offline.

Unfortunately the idsue is still here. None of these steps help. For number 3, i dont have that option available Settings > Preferences > Xbox Assist & settings >.

When I want to save the game, there is a option DeviceX), but online save is only option.

Simply can't play offline, can't save game locally, always asked to sign in to my gamer profile.

I cleared local saved games, local xbox 360 storage and for manage instalation locations I tried both options : internal storage and let xbox decide.

Any ideas?
