xbox series x turns on but no image, then turns off 1 minute later

The console was working fine yesterday. Tonight i turn it on with the controller as i always do and the controller seems to have unpaired with the console as it does not turn on the console and the controller's xbox light is flashing. I then proceed to turn the console on manually, which it then turns on but i get no image. After roughly 1 minute the console turns off. I checked the connections and everything looked fine. Reconnected the console a few minutes later and still the same. When the console turns on it barely makes any sounds. I was able to eject the game disc that was in the console.

Any advice?

My microsoft account on the console is not password protected for log in, should i be worried about that?

If you're concerned about that, you can change your password on the web, then if someone fired up your console, instead of it just logging them into your account, they'd be prompted for the new password.

To do that, sign in here: -

Microsoft account | Security

Then in the "Password security" section, click on "Change my password".

That said, I think it's highly unlikely any MS employee would do anything with your account, but for peace of mind you can change your password if you like.

I just tried the console in the living room, same result as before. I'm guessing the next step is asking for repair?

I'm sorry to hear that. It seems to be a power issue already, have you tried connecting the console to a different power outlet?

I just tried a factory reset, but unfortunately, there is no second power-up tone. Same as before, i get no image and the console turns off after 1 minute.
