  1. Xbox Series X static/snow screen on startup

    When powering in the Xbox series X I hear the tones and the startup chimes but video-wise all is see is starting ic/snow then the screen goes to black. I know the xbox turned on as I can use my controller and hear it navigating through the menus but the video remains black. The static does not “animate” or move which makes me think it’s a video issue. I have tried doing a power cycle, and unplugging and replugging HDMI and power cables. It does temporarily fix the issue but then after a day or two the issue persists.

    Thanks in advance for any help with this.

    Regards,

    Hi, I hope you're doing great out there.

    I'm Wille, an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

    I'm sorry you're having issues with your Xbox, I have some recommendations that might help if it's not a hardware failure.

    - Try connecting the HDMI cable to a different HDMI port on the TV;

    - Try using another HDMI cable (tested on another device) to connect the Xbox One X to your TV;

    -Try connecting the Xbox One X to a different TV;

    - Try plugging the Xbox One X and TV into a power outlet.

    If it works, I know you've already performed a power cycle, but try the step below followed by the other:

    1. Turn off the console by pressing and holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds. The console will shut down.

    2. Turn the console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on the controller. "

    If that doesn't work, resetting your console while keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry, as long as you're connected to Xbox Live, your progress and game saves won't be deleted. It will remove all your accounts, but you can add them all later.

    Press the Xbox button to open the dashboard.

    Select System Profile > Settings > System Information > Console.

    Select Reset Console.

    Reset and keep my games and apps.

    This procedure will solve if it is something in the Xbox One X Operating System, if it does not solve it, there is a great possibility of being a physical problem. Therefore, open a service request for your Xbox at the link below. You can follow the repair through the same link:

    https://support.microsoft.com/devices

    Hoping that everything works out for the best.

    I hope I helped you. Hugs!

    Xbox One crashes to a snow screen when trying to open an application

    A snow screen? Like what you'd think of as a static channel on a TV or something?

    Xbox One splash screen

    Microsoft haven't said it is. I believe the green Xbox One startup screen will stay, and the Xbox Series X/S will get the new Xbox boot up screen.

    You will need to perform a a physical reset on the console by following the steps below:

    - Turn off the console unplug all the cables then re-plug them back again.

    - Click on the "Bind" and "Eject" buttons at the same time after 10 seconds click the home "X" button just once without letting go of the two buttons. Throughout the whole process you will hear two beep sounds and end up with a troubleshooting page. On your screen. You will need to select the "Reset this Xbox" option and choose "Reset and keep my games and apps".

    Note =>The "Reset and Keep my Games and Apps" option will not cause losing your games, but please be aware that you need to be completely aware of the email address as well as the password of your account before going for it because it will require you to sign in to the account.

    I see, in this case you will need to send the console for repair. To know more about this, check => Getting your Xbox device serviced | Xbox Support. If you couldn't request the repair from your end, you can get in touch with the online team to do it for you and explain how it goes.

    If you wish to go with the online team option, access Contact us | Xbox Support. Follow the instructions after clicking on the green button "Contact us" and choose to get help either from an online chat agent or request a callback. Make sure the region on the support website is set to your correct region in order not to find issues with the steps.
