I have this occasional bug and was wondering have others experienced it and is there any way to tell Microsoft about it?

The bug is that my Series X occasionally stops outputting sound after waking from sleep/quick resume. The only fix is to reboot the console.

    :)

Thanks for the assistance, but as I stated in my original post, I already knew that rebooting the console solves the problem. It's clearly a bug and I think MS should be notified of it. It would be far better if the bug were fixed so that I don't have to reboot my console.

You don't need to power off the console. I have the exact same problem when launching COD Warzone by Quick Resume mode. If you press the Xbox button your remote, and if you choose the app/game that you are experiencing that problem and launch it again, it should do the trick. 😉

    At least, works with me.

I have the same issue and I agree, rebooting or power cycling is not an adequate fix as you lose game progress.

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there despite the issue that you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regards to your concern.

I have checked the known issue list and that seems to be not normal and can be fixed by performing a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.
