Xbox series x shuts down randomly only when playing next gen games

Discus and support Xbox series x shuts down randomly only when playing next gen games in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; I am currently on the phone with microsft support and they advised me to post to reddit so the engineers at the insider team can help with my problem....     Xbox series x shuts down randomly only when playing next gen games


    I am currently on the phone with microsft support and they advised me to post to reddit so the engineers at the insider team can help with my problem.

    My xbox series x is randomly shutting down only when I am playing next gen games such as halo infinite, gears 5, vangaurd. With about 1 hour game time in.

    I have performed a factory reset I have reinstalled the games that are causing the issue I have enrolled the console into the early updates and problem still persists I have my xbox ontop of a desk with nothing surrounding it I unplugged all unnecessary devices I plugged the device into a direct outlet I even flipped the power input to the console

    I told the guy that I saw my warantee ended on November 19th he said that he could apply the extra month grace period but I am still out of the warantee by a few days.

    I asked if this was a common problem he said yes its usually ventalation or bad processor.

    I told him its unfortionate that all the next gen games just came out right as my warrantee lapsed so i couldnt have possibly known of the issue.

    I asked how long will the reddit engineers get back to me he said 24 hours.

    Kind of a strange support system, especially considering I was hung up on.

    I just want to play halo without the xbox turning off mid match!!!

    Nba 2k22 next gen on X series, if only i go to any online activity mode, like 5v5 Rec, console just shutting down. Offline modes i could play 24/7 no problems

    When i called Microsoft, wanna know what they told me ??

    "It is very weird, make sure you got proper ventilation and plugged in directly"

    Sigh

    Really pushing me hard for a switch to PS5 ehh, they don`t shut down in 2k22, they also got their issues, but you can play at least, their consoles don`t shut down.

    I mean this issue with Series X shutting down is beyond imagining, just unreal. Tons tons of reports on internet on various forums, X series users reporting it from some time now, did not see any PS5 shutting down user reporting it, just other minor bugs.

    Xbox one's arent compatible since they are over 10 years old and this include xbox one x

    When xbox one games are made thwy just say xbox one not s or x

    However for next gen games it's series s or x or both for digital releases only

    Hi Sneh101!

    Please be informed that the next gen games for Series X/S are not compatible for Xbox One generation consoles. Only old gen games can run through next gen consoles but not the other way around.
