Xbox Series X shuts down during game play, Microsoft will not accept responsibility for...

Don't buy Xbox Series X console, go with a PS 5 . Here is my experience. Mircosoft wants you to spend more money on a new "upgrade" console, pretty much a new one of the same. Here is my story.

Microsoft has defect consoles and wants the consumer to continue to purchase faulty products. This is my last Xbox console . I have a Series X that I have had for a little over two years and have not played or abused my console . I've played maybe less that 200 hours in two years... I work full time, am a father , and hardly have time to play. So when I finally do , recently , I was playing Star Wars fallen order and an hour into playing it flickered ,screen turned green , and shut off . Now it will not power on. I called Microsoft support and with no help to resolve the issue . Well my first call was with Lauren was a big help but I was not home to try to troubleshoot the system. She said to call back and after I got off work I did so . The next support attendant asked a handful of questions just to tell him the my option(s) was to drive an hour to get it checked at a repair facility. I live next to Houston Texas in Pasadena TX. They want me to take it to the Woodlands where it would be a hour away so they can charge $299.00 to possibly repair the system and diagnose the issue. Apparently Microsoft offers a extended warranty for three years after 40 days of the sign in date for your consoles 1yr. Limited warranty. I was never notified nor offered this warranty , I also did not expect to have this kind of issues with a"high quality" console that costs so much . I have owned Xbox consoles all my life and even when I had a 360 , I did not have this nightmare scenario. I had the ring of death four years into that system but it was fixed in less than a week from Microsoft. I have that 360 at my mom's house and it still works. I am very disappointed with this Series X console, with Microsoft . The other option the support team member gave me was to "upgrade" my console with a new Xbox Series X. I was surprised, I could not believe the company of Microsoft treats a consumer this way. Instead of making the consumer happy, keep the loyalty , trust , and relationship with the consumer you tell them, "buy another console and see if this one won't **** out . I work at a dealership and it would be like hey I sold you a lemon so just buy a brand new car. For that matter it looks like I will invest my time and money with Sony and get a PS5 Pro. Microsoft just killed one customer , one 39 year old father's free time of relaxation, joy , and reminisce of youth with one bad experience. I hope this will reach the CEO of Microsoft. I have paid subscriptions for ultimate , gold , services for years. Games , controllers , other consoles for my kids , and headsets .....alot related to Microsoft but as of today , if I know it is from Microsoft I will stay away and not purchase these products. I will cancel all my subscriptions , and I will no longer be hype man for Microsoft. There is hard earned money that was invested in order for me to enjoy the little free time I have to myself and it was thrown away thanks to the awful service and product of Microsoft. I received this console as a early Fathers day gift from my son and beautiful wife. I hate to know that spent all that money (and time to find one)on this console ,that I wanted . All for it to turn to nothing. I was happy and excited to see the package on my bed. It was the same feeling I felt like when my mom gifted me the impossible to find N64 for Christmas back in the mid to late 90's. I was the only one in my school to have one and this was the same currently at my work place at the time. Microsoft has now crushed and destroyed those feelings . I am so angry.
