    Having this odd video glitch occurring when playing games on my Xbox Series X in the past 2 weeks - have had the console since release date with the same TV and HDMI cable.

    This ONLY happens during the loading screens for games (all games in my Library) and or on any other static screens during a game - like after a level is finished and you need to press A to continue for example. This does not happen at all with apps like Prime Video, Disney+, Netflix, etc. or the Home screen or Game Pass app.

    I can clearly hear everything fine (music, dialogue) during this time and can hit A if I know that is what is behind the static and the game plays normal from there.

    Have done a full reset of the console - unplugging the power, etc. as well as switching the HDMI port the xbox cable goes to on my TV - this does fix it for about a day and then it goes back to the same issue.

    Only thing I haven't done is swap out the HDMI cable but since I dont have an issue with any other app or actual gameplay, it doesnt seem to me that would be the issue.

    I think there was a large update recently, dont know if that could be the culprit. Need help!

    Hello Millbot3000, this is really strange, as you already did a total reset on the console but did not change the HDMI cable, have you tried to change the HDMI port on your TV?

    Hi - yes, I did change the HDMI cable to a different port on the TV and the same. It is now even getting a bit weirder - again, during gameplay, no issues, but now on the loading screens during a game (not during any other app), it does that distortion for a bit and then now is cycling through the screen being black, green, red, etc. for a 1 sec each time and then the TV shuts down.

    Absolutely. (LG… CU2 or something) turned Dolby off. Did not leave settings. Also turned freesync off on tv then it Worked. Thank you

    I had the exact same problem which didn't start until today, and I use my Xbox Series X every day..

    Starting today, running any game would show me a screen like the op showed.

    I turned off Dolby Vision on my LG 55C2 like Jesse Mass suggested (THANK YOU!) and that completely fixed the problem.

    With regards to Dolby Vision...

    So it's either a TV update that went through (current software version 03.33.65) and changed something (but I didn't notice a recent update), or the Xbox changed something (though the last Xbox update was over a month ago).

    So I turned off Dolby Vision in the Xbox's video settings and now everything works fine (except for no Dolby Vision).

    I just had this same issue on my LG G3 TV. I went in and turned off Dolby Vision on the XBOX Series X and that fixed the issue. HDR works fine. This seems like a issue with a recent update.
