    Xbox Series X|S Storage


    I don't understand how we have these next gen consoles that carry 512 GB to 1TB but these games that easily carry 50+ GB and easily eat up storage, I can't move these games to my external then they become unplayable and at the very moment I can only have 3 games on my eternal with the Series S and that's maximum capacity. I don't get how more storage isn't already in the systems especially with games that are either already out or upcoming that take up so much memory. Any advice?

    Hi,

    Both Series X/S games and Xbox One games that been optimised (I'm British) for Series X/S must be installed on either the internal storage or the expansion card. They can not be run from a USB connected storage device. My optimised Series X/S Xbox One games
    were moved to my Expansion card during their update.

    Hi,

    Series X|S optimised games can only run on either the internal storage or expansion card. You can 'store' Series X|S on a USB hard drive/SSD for later but you can't play them from these drives as they're not fast enough.

    Xbox One games that are not optimised for Series X|S can be run from USB Storage.
