Xbox series X/S DRM

If you wish a disc drive on a current console you can get a series X

There is no way to Jerry-rig a Series S to accept a disc drive due to DRM requirements. The system would have to be redesigned. and you would have to purchase that revision.

No such thing as an Xbox One Series X. The Xbox One family of consoles has an S and an X but are still just Xbox Ones. You need the Series family of consoles. The Xbox Series S or Xbox Series X. These are different from Xbox One S or Xbox One X.

The "One" and "Series" are the console types.

On an Xbox Series X or Series S, no.

Because on my Xbox series x, it only shows 'Optimized for series x/s' but if a xbox series x version of a game is NOT 'optimized' how would i know if I'm playing a series x/s version of a game?

you can set the console offline and for the most part games will work, but alot of games now have some kind of online element and won't work without, also alot of games require a day one patch and would need to be online to download this so you can play the game. this is the same with sony now also.

PC has the exact same systems in place too. unfortunately the future is connected and if you have no connection then you maybe out of luck.

some countries now deem the internet as a priority service similar to water and gas. this means that there will always be access for those on a very tight budget. but if budget restraints are going to mean losing access to the net then gaming may not be a good choice these days.

long gone are the days of popping a disc in and playing.
