Xbox series X/S controller buttons and bumpers suddenly stopped responding

Recently the buttons on my Xbox series X/S controller have stopped working. This includes the D pad, sync, screenshot, two square, three lines, LB, RB, X, Y, A, and B buttons. Both joysticks and triggers are still functioning. I tested the controller on accessories and non of the previously mentioned buttons are sending any signal. I’ve tried plugging the controller in with a usb-C cable to both PC and console and checking for updates but both say the controller is up to date. Power cycling the controller and restarting the console have done nothing. I checked the troubleshoot page on Microsoft but nothing came up. Does anyone know the solution for this?

My controller stop working too series x , factory controller . Last night working and today my samsung tv remote control my xbox and the xbox controller no longuer view by the xbox , i use another controller from my other xbox seris s , and this controller work but not the one work last night , i try the little button to match xbox with but nothing , the controller do no longuer view on my xbox series x , can control de series s but can't be view or connect to the series x anymore

I updated my xbox series S in anticipation of some driving over xmas, went to play today and the controller works on the xbox screens but as soon as I open a game (Project Cars 2, or even something non driving), the G920 stops responding and I get the "Controller disconnected screen", and from then on it only responds to the wireless hand controller. If I hit the Microsoft button on the wheel it takes me back and I can navigate around the xbox screens, but not in games.

Hi. The controller I have is "PowerA Enhanced Wired Controller for Xbox Series X|S". There is a section for PowerA in verified controllers. It use to work for me just fine for over a year. I am not sure why suddenly it is not working. Any ideas?
