Xbox series x randomly turning off during certain games

Discus and support Xbox series x randomly turning off during certain games in XboX Insiders to solve the problem; I have looked around for someone with the same issue as me and I can't seem to find a post similar to my current situation so I suppose I'll start it....     Xbox series x randomly turning off during certain games


    I have looked around for someone with the same issue as me and I can't seem to find a post similar to my current situation so I suppose I'll start it. I've had this series x for awhile now and it's been a ongoing issue. The problem is that when I attempt to play certain games it will randomly just turn off without me doing anything but it's only for specific games and the funny thing is I can play for example Smite or State of Decay 2 for hours on end with zero issues. I've tested a handful of games such as

    Rainbow six siege, Chivalry 2, Tiny Tina's wonderland, Fortnite, Deep Rock Galactic, Divine knockout and a few more that I've forgotten because I just Uninstall that ones that won't work.

    I have done all the necessary steps(that I know of) to attempt to fix it on my own like factory reset, make sure there is enough air flow, new power cable, dust, etc...

    I'm lost on what I should do to fix it or just buy a new one because I bought Tiny Tina's wonderland to play with some buddies of mine but I can't really play it if it just turns off my xbox at random.

    Any insight or advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

    (Worst case scenario I'll just buy a new one because if you can imagine this will drive someone nuts at some point)

    Not necessarily fifa 21 xbox one version crashes and turns mine off so does fortnite

    Did you reset it by keeping the games and files?

    Another option you have is to do a system reinstall via USB.

    But If you already opened the service request, I recommend you follow it through, as this might be a power supply issue or something of the sort.

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please check power settings by going to Settings > General > Power mode & startup and ensure the console isn't set to turn off automatically. Set "Turn off after" to "Don't turn off automatically."

    And then power cycle the Xbox. Turn off your Xbox, unplug the power cord, and wait for at least 10 seconds. Plug it back in and power it on. This can help reset the system.

    Next is to update the console. Kindly make sure that your Xbox Series X is running the latest system update. Go to Settings > System > Updates and check for updates.
