    Xbox Series X Random Black Screen with Samsung S95C


    Hello,

    This problem was first noticed while playing Mortal Kombat 1 on Xbox Series X with a Samsung S95C OLED. Randomly, the screen will go black, but then come back on within a few seconds in the middle of a game.

    This also happened while playing Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War. I am not sure what could cause this, but perhaps overheating? My Series X is sitting horizontally on the rubber pads that Microsoft designed into the side. It is not obstructed at all, the cabinet is an open design with plenty of space around the console and no front door or cover to close it in.

    I notice this does not happen right away when starting a game, but later on during the session. VRR and Game Mode are enabled and working according to the S95C Game Mode menu. This does not happen with Nintendo Switch or Playstation 5.

    it only happens to the Xbox X series + Samsung TV. I have Xbox one and a sony TV as well. I tried Xbox X series + Sony TV and Xbox one + Samsung TV. both work...

    Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately happens on others TV’s as well, but even if it was/is a Samsung issue Microsoft should have:

    1. Owned the issue and report it to their customer base. Auto manufacturers, drug companies, and food distributors etc ALL routinely send out notifications to owners and the general public regarding product defects/ recalls, etc. Microsoft never does

    2. Samsung is one of the biggest TV manufacturers in the world, Microsoft should be working hand-in hand with Samsung for a solution if it truly is a Samsung issue

    3. ONLY the Xbox-Series X has this issue, No other, including the Series S which is the “little brother” of the Series X
