Xbox Series X purchased 2 days ago keeps losing signal

Hello,

I've purchased a brand new Xbox Series X two days ago. After playing for one hour, the TV lost signal. I tried a different HDMI cable, different power cable, different TV, different HDMI port on my main TV, hard reset, nothing helped. Today it somehow worked when I turned it on, but the resolution was set to 480p and it was a pain to set it to 4K (kept telling me initially that my TV doesn't support 4K). I played again for one hour, then lost the signal again. I'm pretty convinced at this point that I received a faulty unit. Any tips on what I should do?

I see. We can try it as our last resort. Because if it doesn't get fixed, I suggest that you send it for a replacement since it happens to all of your games, different TVs or monitors. It has something to do with your console hardware already.

Thank you for your reply.

I did a factory reset while choosing to keep my games and the issue happened again. It has happened while playing different games. Do you think I should factory reset and remove everything? Honestly I doubt this will solve the problem but I can try it.

Hi Yassine! This is clearly not the situation I want you to be in. Let's sort this out.

There's a possibility that you received a faulty unit. Did you confirm if the issue happened to any TV or monitor you used when it worked in 4K and suddenly lost signal? If possible try to play a different game as well.

We could try to factory reset your console to remove potentially corrupted data.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.
Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.
Select Reset console.
On the Reset your console? Please choose “Reset and keep my games & apps”

As our last resort, you may factory reset it and remove everything. If you're still getting the same issue, you may ask for a replacement already.
