xbox series x purchase with klarna and gamepass but already have ultimate gamepass

What happens if you already have a gamepass ultimate sub and you purchase an xbox series x via klarna with the gamepass sub included?

Do you just register it and it cancels your existing gamepass direct debit for 2 years?

I don't have any months outstanding, it's just a monthly recurring sub payment via direct debit.

I was basically worried that I would end up paying the klarna sub PLUS the current gamepass ultimate sub if I redeemed it.

As I don't have any outstanding months added, then I assume I'm safe to just go ahead and redeem it and I'll end up with 24 months stacked and the regular monthly payment for gamepass will automatically stop as the klarna payment will be replacing it?

I'm surprised I couldn't find this listed in FAQ's actually as I'd expect there to be a lot of fully paid up xbox one owners who just have a recurring gamepass ultimate sub at this point and perhaps purchased using klarna for the first time, it's difficult to get the new xbox series x as a standalone purchase at the moment.

Yes, you can go ahead and add it and it'll add 24 months onto the remainder of the month you're on. It won't cancel your subscription, but it will delay your next payment for 24 months.

If you have 12 months or less on your current subscription, you would just go ahead and redeem the 24 months of Ultimate and it will add onto your subscription.

If you have more than 12 months, you would wait until you have at least 12 months remaining and then redeem the 24 months (you can only stack 36 months at a time).

You don't have to cancel anything.
