Does anybody has problem with SX if you connect seagete ssd epansion pack and USB HDD ? I have problem when i do it network thru ethernet cable stop working. I checked with different ssd expansion pack and usb hdd, and got the same broblem. If i use only
one device (ssd or hdd) everething works fine.

Curious to know if the Wifi network connection exhibits the same behavior?

Disconnect the ethernet cable and see if wireless connection to network hardware is disconnected when you have both devices attached.

Attach devices (ssd + hdd) while the console is powered off.

Let us know how you go here and I or others may have a solution.

Why am I not able to play games that are downloaded on my Seagate external hard drive?

Hey Milo, unfortunately HDDs are incompatible with Series X/S games. You will have to shell out the several hundred dollars for their SSD card to expand your X/S storage. You can, however, play Xbox One and 360/Classic games with an HDD, hope this helps.

    Storage device, Series X/S

external hdd's are not fast enough for the new series s/x optimised games and therefore have to run off the internal ssd or the new expansion cards, all xbox one games and 360 BC games can run off your external hdd.

    External Mechanical Hard Drive

I guess if you plug more than one into the Series X (which I assume you can do given it has multiple USB ports), then you could just then transfer between them presumably
My Series X has four drives. The internal SSD, a 1TB expansion card, a 2TB SATA SSD (in a USB enclosure) and a 2TB HDD.

Expanding the storage on the new Xbox

Curious. The support site also doesn’t mention that this shouldn’t work. I’ll test other titles and let you know, but I’m sure Forza is the same.
Excerpt from Xbox series x FAQ

"Note Games optimised for Xbox Series X|S need to be played from the Xbox Series X|S internal SSD or the Storage Expansion Card. "
