XBox Series X - PreOrder DISASTER

I am sure I am not the only one...

Started the pre-order process the moment the web page button become active...within 15 seconds of the floodgates opening. Spinning dots of death, retry, get to selection page to choose XBox and options, push button....spinning dots of death and message that
'something went wrong, wait and try again'

25 tries later....a different message....exceeded purchase limit for product....WAIT WHAT?????

50 tries (and two hours) later....an attempt to chat (per the instructions on the support page)....still no go

Check Twitter and the interweb....sure enough...already sold out everywhere. Oh wait, Best Buy might have some because their site was down so they couldnt sell anything....nope...they wont allow the item in their online cart, please retry.....

EPIC FAIL....oh, but its not over yet....

Wednesday night, an email from Microsoft online store that I still have items in my cart and please complete the purchase....what??? A chance that Microsoft actually could respect my attempt and let me order the XBox that I put in my cart on launch day??

Go to cart, try to pay 'its not you, its us...try later'....repeat....repeat....repeat.....repeat......

Call Microsoft store on phone....pleasant person says, 'I am sorry sir, but there is really nothing we can do as the XBox Series X is completely out of stock and we will not be able to complete your cart purchases'.......

UNREAL!!!!!!!

What's the plan MS??

I lined up like a good and faithful LONG time XBox player (and Gold member for YEARS, and Ultimate member since day one, and Office 365 subscriber....and and and....), I jumped through all the hoops, sat online for HOURS, hit retry because your web site
said keep doing that, followed the email instructions when you said there was still a chance....and NOTHING...just a scripted 'we are sorry we cannot do anything to help you' from CS.

You are right...it isn't me...it YOU....fix it

If Xbox cared about loyalty to us xbox members. 19 years of live on my end. They should of sent us a link to purchase them first before they did the preorder. There is almost 5,000 on ebay in comparison to 1,600 for Ps5. Sony did it right because more
gamers got the Ps5 while more scalpers got series x systems.

So this happens!!!! EVERYONE and their mom is sitting and waiting trying to get it. I was right there on the page and as soon as I clicked it was sold out! Let the first batch go out so all the kinks can be fixed then get the new batches. I never buy the
first of anything for that reason. I was just trying to see if I would be lucky enough to get a preorder.

You do realize ps5 sold in mins right? And server issues are upto the vendor Not ms or sony unless you sre talking aboit sonyonline store or ms store

I had no problem getting my preorder in at 3:30pm

And ms has more stock coming in

As of friday last I heard

Retailers probably didnt expect as much demand as they did

They always get hammered on a new release this has nothjngnto do with the console but the mere fact you are trying to get a hotticket item

Common this is 21st century you should know this by now

Sony is flying in stock accordingnto some reports and not expected for weeks

If you are using chrome or safari thata the issue they always have issues with websites this isnt new
