    Hi everyone,

    My game chat is so loud in my headset, that I can't hear the people in my party chat. I have an xbox headset adaptor where you can turn game volume down and chat volume up but it isn't responding. The chat mixer settings also aren't helping. I've also tried
    plugging the headset into the pad (didn't work) and I've tried an old turtle beach headset (same issue) I've narrowed it down to it being the series x pad as when I've connect my xbox one pad, the issue is resolved. I don't understand why this issue is only
    happening on my series x pad. Any help?

    Question, I can hear the game audio, but I cant change the chat volume, yet I can still hear my friends in party's and game chat. The only way I can change how loud there voice is to change the game volume on my X12. I tried going to preferences and voice,
    but when I switch to play through headset, I don't hear my friends. Is there anyway I can change my friends voice volume? Because chat volume doesn't work on game chat and party chat.

    How have you got your headset connected?

    I ask because as there are separate volume controls for chat and game sound you should not encounter this problem.

    After new headset

    A few people have been hit with this party bug lately which doesn't help if you've got a new headset.

    - You join the chat.

    - You don't have a mic icon.

    - You can't hear anything, they can't hear you.

    Solution:

    - Hard reset the XBox.

    - Fire it up again and join party chat before you fire up a game.

    Let us know if that helps.

    Also the "Game / Voice Balance" can be a little confusing.

    To hear people better while playing and chatting don't adjust the volume... instead adjust the bottom left button on your Chat Adaptor which has a picture of a person until you hear the voices ok.

    This decreases game volume and increases their volume.

    Then use the volume + and - symbols to make the overall volume acceptable.
