    Xbox series x pad disconnecting


    My xbox series x has recently started having issues with the pad disconnecting whilst playing games. Usually this happens with cross-generational gaming, but not always. Its has also started to turn itself back on after I've turned it off via the pad. Anyone have a solution for this? Doesn't appear microsoft are rectifying these issues?

    Hi,

    Yes it should take you to a screen that shows your controller and say configure underneath.

    Hi,

    We can also try a controller firmware update to see if that fixes the problem first if you experience this on multiple controllers it could be an issue with it not being up to date.

    Its happened on a couple of controllers. The one that came with the series x and an older xbox one pad. Ill look into the warranty.

    I have looked for updates for controllers on the xbox, through the settings and it said there were no new updates. Is that the same thing?

    Hi,

    This sounds like a fault with the controller and something that would need to be repaired.

    If the controller is still under warranty Microsoft are always great at getting things repaired/replaced ( in my experience)
