Xbox Series X only displaying 640x480--MICROSOFT NEEDS TO ACKNOWLEDGE THE ISSUE

I just purchased a brand new series X. It would not auto-detect 4k or other TV settings despite trying it on multiple TVs and the use of different HDMI cables. Once I got it "forced" into 4k, restarting the system resulted in it rebooting in 640x480 again and being "stuck" in that mode. When I setup the replacement system, it auto-detected my TV settings without any issues whatsoever.

The point of this post is to say that Microsoft appears to be concealing a known issue with these systems. Countless posts from other people who have made calls to MS Support seem to indicate that MS blames the issue on other things such as faulty cables, bad TVs, etc. I returned the system and got a new one and the new one has ZERO issues (even using the same TV and same cable that was problematic for the old system). To anyone who is experiencing the Series X being forced to 640x480 resolution---RETURN YOUR SYSTEM. It is likely defective and Microsoft should acknowledge the problem. There are hundreds of posts about the problem and I do not understand why Microsoft does not acknowledge the issue in a real manner by confirming the fault is hardware related since that appears to be the case in my opinion. There is no reason why Microsoft should not acknowledge an apparent hardware defect if it has actual knowledge of the same. Certain batches of components in Series X systems appear to be defective in some capacity based on my experience. I read another post that stated that the issue seemed to relate to a faulty HDMI chip, specifically. If the HDMI chip is, in fact, the problem then MS should take responsibility as it did with the "red ring of death." The Series X is too expensive to be "disposable" and it is simply inexcusable on Microsoft's part to leave defective systems in the hands of consumers when it knows it has the ability to repair them.

    :)

That’s the appropriate way to let Microsoft know about this

But I understand if you don’t want to do it

I do not want to report so much as I want other people to know that the issue appears to be hardware related. There are countless forums on this issue (along with reddit posts) and people are led to believe it is a "software" issue when that does not appear to be the case. People who exchange their systems appear to eliminate the problem, thus it appears to be a hardware issue which MS is not acknowledging. I want people to know such instead of chasing their tail aimlessly looking for a "fix" that will not result in the elimination of the problem.

I understand that is the appropriate way. MS is already well aware of the issue based on other peoples' numerous reports. There is no need for me to report the same problem, again, to them. I want to notify members of the public of the apparent hardware problems.

    Stuck in 640x480

Same issue. Support chat did nothing for me. Xbox One X here. Maybe try a display reset but it automatically resets you in 640x480 witch is the only way I get visual now.
