Hi, I have a Dell s3220dgf monitor, which is plugged into my Xbox Series X using the HDMI cable in the Xbox box, but there is no option to change the refresh rate from 60hz to 120hz, even though my monitor supports it over HDMI. Any fixes?

    Thanks

    :)

Good afternoon . Can you confirm if the HDMI ports on your monitor are HDMI 2.1? Some monitors and TVs will only support 120 Hz over a HDMI 2.1 connection.

I recommend that you take a look at the following article from the Xbox website, which provides a comprehensive insight on the matter and a how to set up for best possible video walkthrough.

    Hi,

The monitor is HDMI 2.0, but that should still be capable of 1440p/120hz, the 1440p/144hz works when connected to my PC via HDMI 2.0, so I believe it is an Xbox issue. I am able to either use 1080p/120hz, or 1440p/60hz, but not 1440p/120hz.

The monitor has native 1440p/144hz over both HDMI ports.

I dug a bit deeper and found this page in the monitor manual which confirms the monitor supports the 1440p/120hz timing.

On windows 10 i can use 1080p at 144Hz and at 120Hz with no problems at all but on xbox series x i can play only at 60 Hz (1080p, 720p). I dont know what to do. 60Hz was good 10 years ago. Will microsoft solve this issue?

I have same issue but with my Acer Nitro VG271 144Hz. Xbox series X won’t run at 120Hz 1080p. That must be problem with xbox series x because works perfect with Asus RX480 8GB (144Hz 1080p HDMI2.0). I am very dissapointed. 60hz is a joke.

Are you able to set the Xbox resolution to 1440p?
    Hi,

Yes, I am able to set the resolution to 1440p, but doing so reduces the refresh rate to 60hz.
