Xbox Series X Media Remote and USB TV Tuner support?

Hello! I’m curious if there have been any answers to this.

As it stands the Series X is without an IR transceiver and current media remotes will not work with it. Is there a new media remote with Xbox Wireless or something applicable in the works? Preferably with ABXY buttons because many streaming apps still hide
functions behind them?

Also, One Guide and the USB OTA Digital TV Tuner. This feature has allowed me to keep every Xbox One I’ve owned as the heart of my entertainment center, booting straight into local OTA TV programming. I fear that such a welcome feature would be removed and
downgrade the usefulness.

Any answers are appreciated!

I'm cautiously optimistic that it'll still work. I imagine that if they need to continue supporting it on the XOne, they may as well have the software run on both systems and continue to support those that want to migrate to the Series X.

Many people appear to use it, anytime there’s an outage for OTA channels on One Guide you can find many posts across social media, and it’s not like they’re auddenly droping support for the app on previous consoles when the Series X launches so it shouldn’t
be any extra burden. Hope if it isn’t available at launch that they’ll add it back soon after if enough people are vocal about it.

I still use the USB Digital TV Tuner to watch TV through my Xbox One pretty much every day. I havent read anything either way but I’m sceptical at this stage. Happy to be proven wrong come November 10 though!

Enen, that's not a rumour, the Xbox One digital TV tuner is coming out in October and will cost 25 quid. It basically allows you to watch Freeview on the console, pause Live TV, use voice commands to change channels, works with DVB, DVB-2 and a 3rd one which
is DVB-C..? Anyways, you get your aerial lead and plug it into the tuner and then plug the USB bit into the Xbox One's many USB ports to be able to use the OneGuide. Should be able to use the Smartglass as an Xbox One media remote too.

The TV tuner is an alternative to a set top box which won't require you to use the HDMI in port.
