Xbox Series X | Lines all over screen

I'm sorry you're having issues with your new console. Yes, those graphics spikes are tell tale signs of a graphics hardware issue. The Series X has its graphics processor built into the same chip as its processor, what we call an APU. This behaviour is usually
caused by heat, but it could also just be faulty hardware.

These consoles get pretty warm, so placement is pretty important. If you already have it located in a good location with lots of airflow and still have issues, then you'll need to get the console replaced.

nope, most if not all current games on xbox one will be playable on the series x, eventually there will be games release just for the series x and they wont be playable on previouse console versions.

Xbox one s and Xbox one X are the same family, series x will be the new console and eventually (a couple of years down the line hopefully) games will only be release on the series x family so the xbox one x will not be able to play them.
