Xbox series x keeps turning off on me

I had just downloaded deep rock galactic and was playing when suddenly my console froze up and then shortly after turned off.

It then continued to turn off randomly every time after I turn it back on, ranging from 1 second after I turn it on up to a minute after.

I have tried power cycling it by turning it off by long pressing the power button and leaving it unplugged for 5 minutes, I have tried switching the HDMI cable to a different port in my monitor, I have done a console reset, but it's still doing it and I can't even complete the set up process after reset because it turns off so soon after powering it up.

Every time it does the shut off, the console briefly freezes up.

This has been over the span of a several hours that I've been working on it so I don't think it has to do with overheating.

I'm trying to do the offline update but my Xbox isn't recognizing the drive that's plugged into the USB slot

Uhh also, I managed to get the Xbox started up normally, as it luckily stayed turned on long enough for me to do the setup, so now it's in a normal condition but it's still turning off automatically. Do I still need to try this offline update? Does it have to do with the actual turning off problem?

Can you try format the drive format the drive using the console when it is on.
