XBOX SERIES X issue - Support FANATEC steering wheels

Hi all,

do you know Fanatec? You are a Fanatec owner? Maybe this post could be interesting!

I'm also a Fanatac owner and recently I bought a new XBOX series X.

There are some compatibility problems with XBOX caused by the xbox Operating System, Fanatec Support says.

Which are that issue?

XBOX doesn't support all the function of the Fanatec steering wheels!!

How ?

LEDs doesn't works

Some buttons are not recognised

It's still fully up to Microsoft to implement the Fanatec SDK properly to support the features.

Every time this question gets asked to Fanatec/ Codies we get the ‘Microsoft limits mapping to that of it’s controller inputs’ response.

Is it true? Microsoft engineers can do something?

How is it possible that on PC with Microsoft Windows OS and on your first competitor Sony Play Station 4 and Play Station 5 Fanatec steering wheels 100% works with all their features and on your new generation and most powerful console not??

If is it helpful, my setup:

XBOX series X

Fanatec Base Clubsport V 2.5

Fanatec Rim Formula v2

CSL Elite Pedals with Load Cell

I hope someone from Microsoft Support will read this post for find a solution with Fanatec Team!

Fantec must work with the Forza team to implement their drivers into the game, and produce peripherals compatible with Xbox.

They are responsible for doing this. Microsoft cannot do it without them. The same goes for Flight Simulator and its many accessories

While all Fanatec wheels work on PC, you need an Xbox-licensed wheel for it to work on Xbox. The Xbox security chip required for the wheel to work on Xbox consoles is located inside the steering wheel itself.

Please MS, support Fanatec steering wheels. Many of us have spent a lot of money to play Forza with a good set up!

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have issue with a steering wheel. We recommend reaching out to Fanatec. Some third party accessories are Xbox compatible but will have some limitations. They will be able to help you with the settings
on their steering wheel.
