    Xbox Series X is freezing during Cold War or Assassins Creed, then shutting off


    This happened to me with Cold War about 5 times before I gave up and plugged in my Xbox One X instead. I started up the game and got about 2 minutes into a multiplayer match (with ray tracing OFF), and the game froze, xbox shut down. I booted back up and
    the same thing happened. The Xbox is not warm to the touch at all, but just to be sure I set it in a room with the temperature at 50 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes, plugged it back in, same result. Freezing and shutting down after about 2 minutes
    of play.

    I can watch movies and play non next gen games on the console seemingly no problem, so I think it's a software related issue. Regardless I basically have a $500 paperweight because I'm not willing to risk bricking the console to prove a point. Why isn't
    Microsoft talking about this problem? What's the solution? Obviously it's not temperature related because I have it standing on a hard wood floor with at least 18 inches of space on all sides, in a room that is 62 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Not necessarily fifa 21 xbox one version crashes and turns mine off so does fortnite

    If the game is Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War or Assassin's Creed Valhalla, then the developers of the games are aware of the issue in regard to console shut down. They are working on a fix.

    Anyone's xbox series x freeze up playing cold war zombies? Mine only freezes us playing zombies campaign fine, MP fine but zombies up in the later rounds my xbox shuts off and I have to turn it back on. I have 120fps/hz on no ray tracing on. So
    is this an xbox problem or a Activision problem cause I'm very disappointed and getting ready to send my series x back.
