    Xbox Series X Internet Speed Cap


    I had an internet of 100mb/s and when I tested on Xbox settings it always reach 100mb/s download.

    Now I upgraded my internet to 1000mb/s, but my xbox for some reason only reach a max. of 200mb/s, while other devices close to my xbox in wifi reach around 700-800mb/s download.

    On modem config it shows my xbox connected using 800mb/s. Looks something on xbox software capping my speed.

    Please help me to solve this.

    Microsoft only allocates up to around 200 Mb per second per user, and that's when resources are available. Virtually no one will provide you with huge downloads at gigabit speeds, gigabit connections are intended for a family of four heavy users

    The speeds will get you your average AAA game in around half an hour

    My xbox one s gets around 130mbs with a cat5 data cable. You may have to look in your router's settings. I pay for 200mbs.

    As others have said, make sure to check your router/modem settings. I have gig internet and reach around 900-950 wired.

    Getting an average of 450 on other devices could also mean a bad filter on your outside line. I would contact your ISP. You should be getting over 850 on a regular basis.
