Xbox Series X Humming noticeable.

Hey, I recently bought a brand new xbox and noticed, that the fan is working all time long. So far so good, also read that that's intentional. But the problem starts, they everyone says even tho its running, I shouldn't be able to hear it. Even tho that's the case with my Series S, I can hear the X even in my bed, a deep humming. Its very noticeable so is that still normal or has the fan a defect? If so, how can I replace it? Sadly I got the console as a gift so I can't return it.

It's not normal for you to hear the fan noise which means there can be an issue. Kindly try to switch the position of your Xbox console and then check if the issue will persist. If yes, you may need to create a repair order by signing in to https://account.microsoft.com/devices.

The original poster bought an Xbox One S, not a Series S and was comparing it to an Xbox One X, not a Series X.

A very quiet humming noise. It runs more than the actual Xbox. But it's not noticeable to me unless I'm right up near it.

This is on an Xbox Series X console. This is also the only mode that I'm noticing that has this issue.
