Xbox Series X - Headset issues with New Alpha Update

Good news! I reverted to the beta build and after the update I was able to go through the setup console instructions again. It prompted a code so I am back remote with the series x 😊. I guess it was the alpha build that was messing it up. Should I try to go back to the alpha build? 🤔

If your console is in the Insider Preview (Alpha or Alpha Skip ahead) try to disconnect all controllers and headsets, and only connect one controller and one headset.

Yea this i was trying when i was talking to suport will try it on my one x .

Series x runs now fine but my gues it is somthing whit the x box alpha preview update

Just got a brand new Series X with the Wireless headset and its cracking, distorting and dropping connection every few minutes or so. When it gets bad, it will drop entirely for a few seconds at a time before reconnecting.

I've tried hard resetting, unpairing and pairing, updating to 9.22 firmware three times and still have the issue.

This is so frustrating after spending upwards of $600 for this setup.

Question for the forum is...have you all tried other headsets? I'm curious if the problem lies with my Series X or just this headset. As I see the options as being:

• Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset for another Microsoft Wireless Headset.
  
• Return the Microsoft Wireless Headset and get a 3rd party headset.
  
• Warranty the Series X if the problem lies with specific hardware units.

There are multiple articles stating audio compatibility via USB. If optical is necessary, there are various HDMI to optical devices available which you may need to add.
