Xbox Series X has a dark reddish hue to it.

The problem arose when I booted up my Series X yesterday, and noticed that the blues were drowned out by greens. After preforming some unplugging, and plugging stuff back in, the screen had became a reddish color, with no signs of blues or greens. I’ve tried plugging it into different hdmi ports, and used a different hdmi cord, yet the problem still persists. I’ve done several hard/sorts restarts. When on my tv’s homepage, it displays the colors correctly, and after changing some settings on the tv, it still is red. I’ve even tried plugging my Xbox up to a different tv, and on that tv, it displays the colors correctly. I’ve came to the conclusion that it has something to do with the input/output with the hdmi, but have no clue as to anything else beyond that. It’s frustrating, and staring at it is causing headaches.

Hello Monkey13049, by your description and the procedures you did, I do not believe it is something on the HDMI cable or hdmi output of your console but rather in the HDMI input of the first TV you tested.

If you tested on a second TV and the colors appear correctly, it's because it should be something on the first TV.

What you can do is try to do a firmware reset on the first TV and then update again to see if it can be a tv software issue.

On the Xbox, you can't sync your lights to games with this app. On the Xbox, each game and app run in separate virtual machines, and can't know of each other.

In order for the Hue Dynamic app to sync your Hue lights to the action on screen in a game, the app needs to "see" what's on screen, either via a camera or via a capture app. Both options don't work on the Xbox One.

If you want to experience the effect of Hue being synced to your gaming, you can get the game "Chariot", which supports Hue lights natively in the game itself
without the need for an app.

The Hue Dynamic app on the Xbox One simply allows you to control your Hue lights manually, or to start a scene that was added to your Hue hub. But for game syncing, you will have to use it with games you play on your PC.

P.S.: I own Hue Lights, and can confirm that the app only allows you to control your lamps manually or via set scenes. No game syncing is possible on the Xbox One, but Chariot with Hue support in a dark room is really fun.

The Deluxe edition includes both the Xbox One and Series X/S versions so you'll be able to freely install it to your Xbox One when it releases in April.

Perfect Dark is still available, however it looks like they have switched over to the Game Pass/Xbox One/ Series X/S format.
