Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition - Dead on arrival

Hello,

I just want to share my story and how I was treated by Xbox support.

I successfully pre-ordered Xbox Series X Halo Infinite Limited Edition console on 25th August from UK Microsoft website.

Yesterday it was delivered by DPD and it is basically dead on arrival.

After turning it on, you have first configuration screen and as soon I move forward to next menu - console shutting down instantly.

I tried everything I could.

Swapped power cord, swapped HDMI cable, used other controller, changed power socket (it was the same socket used by my previous Series X console, so it is not the source of problem).

I did factory reset using troubleshoot menu. I did offline system update by USB also.

Nothing. Still same story - as soon I move past first screen, console shutting down.

I have spent almost 80 minutes yesterday on th phone with support. They were completely useless and not helpful at all. I was transferred from one department to another forward and back, I explained same story to multiple people and got nothing. At the end, when they put me on another hold, my call was disconnected!

I tried again and I spend another half hour trying to get somewhere - only to be told that sale department finished their work (while they supposed to work till 8pm according to website and it was not even 7pm!).

I cannot even request a refund because order was done in August and even if that was an pre-order, website not allowing to do anything!.

Thanks God that I decided to pay by PayPal, so I probably will request refund through them if I won't be able to sort it out today.

Seriously, I wonder, how things like that can happen? We, the people have work, other things to do - we do not have time to trying to sort out simple problem for almost 2 hours over the phone.

I hope that someone from supervisor team or higher management will see my story and maybe they will be able to do something?

As a last resort, try leaving the console plugged into the wall over night, and then try turning it on in the morning. Something similar happened to my Xbox on arrival and this actually worked.

I paid 1k for the limited edition and it doesn’t work properly, whenever I try to open halo Infinite, the Xbox glitches out and shuts off, please help I spent so much on a perfectly new untouched Xbox series x limited edition

This is exactly whats happening to me while playing Infinite, did you ever get your problem fixed?

I don't know if it's just halo infinite, but that is all I played. I sent in my xbox series x to get a repair and they sent me new or refurbished one. It was another halo edition series x with a different serial number.
