I'm sorry to hear that. Here are the steps that you can try for your concern.

Solution 1. Power cycle your console

Please Turn off console > (press and hold power button for 10 seconds) unplug everything from the console > wait for 2 minutes and plug everything back > Turn On the console.

Solution 2.Try removing your account and add it back again.

To remove your account:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > Account > Remove accounts.

Select the account that you want to remove, and then select Remove to confirm.

To add it again:

Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.

Select Sign in.

Select Add & manage.

Select Add new.

Enter your Microsoft account email address and password.

Solution 3. Clear your local save games file and persistent storage.

Make sure that there’s no disc in the disc tray.

Scroll left on the Home screen to open the Guide.

Select Settings > All Settings

Choose System > Storage.

Now select Clear local saved games.

Choose Yes to confirm.

Restart your console

Press the Menu key on your controller.

Click Settings, then go to Disc & Blu-Ray.

Select Persistent Storage.

Click Clear Persistent Storage.

Solution 4. Try to do a soft factory reset without removing any games and apps.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Settings > System > Console info > reset then keep my games and apps.

NOTE: This will delete the profiles on your account, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

If I clear my saved games, remove my account and sign back in, will I be able to recover my saved progress?

I’ve read others experiencing the same type of issues. Is this a hardware issue or a game pass issue?

It’s disheartening that in 2022, a brand new system, 2 days out of the box is having this type of an issue.

If I have to go though all of these things and have the problem again, I will not keep a system that requires this amount of effort to keep it running.

I just don’t understand it. I’ve had a PS5 for 7 months, have played 100’s of hours, never had a single issue. I’ve now had my 2 day old Xbox kick me out 9 times today alone.

So I’ve spent over an hour doing everything you suggested. Well it happened again. Then I started playing halo again, it froze and shut right down.

This is terrible. I’ve read other having similar issues. Is this being fixed?

It’s not my service. I have 1000 mbs speed, tested on Xbox. And, I’ve never had a single issue in 7 months with my PS5, so I know it’s not my internet. And I am hardwired.

So this is either a hardware or network issue.

I don’t want to waste all of my time having to keep rebooting and resetting. Please help me with a real solution. If it’s hardware, I’ll exchange it. If this is just a common thing that Microsoft can’t or won’t fix, I’ll just return it.

Day 2 and I’ve spent more time messing with it than actual play time.

So frustrated and completely baffled how Microsoft could put something like this out with these issues. I’ve read a number of other posts with the same issues, so I know it’s not unique to me.

As long as you will sign back in using the right account, everything should be there. I suggest to try those steps first for us to best isolate the issue.
