Xbox Series X - Glitches and freezes for about a second then continues

Hey Guys!

I have a XSX, regardless of what game I'm playing or streaming video from Sky TV, a couple of times every minute there is a glitch where the screen will freeze for around a second or two then resumes. the sound usually continues uninterrupted.

I've tried switching the HDMI lead for a better quality one but has made no difference.

Any Ideas of things to try?

Let me know how it goes with each possible solution.

About the Insiders program, it's basically a way to install beta versions of the Xbox OS
I ask because sometimes a new beta update can cause issues.

But if you don't know what it's the program probably your console isn't enrolled

May I know if you tried to perform a physical power cycle disconnecting the power cable?

"Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Be sure to wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on."

Thanks Manuela,

I havn't tried connecting it to a different TV yet, but I should to troubleshoot.

I tried switching to a different HDMI port and that didn't fix it.

I also havn't tried using a DVD/Bluray to see if the problem is there also. i've never noticed it in the Xbox menu/GUI.

I didn't realise I could restore the console and still keep the games and data, thankyou, i'll give that a try also.

I don't know about the Insiders program, what is that please?

Hello James, just to cover of an issue with your TV or HDMI port. May I know if you tried to connect the console on a different TV or using a different HDMI port in the current PC?

Also, may I know if your console is enrolled to the Xbox Insiders program?

If that's not the case, what about restoring the console but keeping games and data?

I'm going to share the instructions if needed:

Go to console settings > system > console info > reset and select "keep games and apps"

Once the console restarts verify if the problem has been solved
