    Xbox Series X Games uninstalling themselves.


    I’ll have an issue when I try to start a game it’ll read me a description like “If you are trying to send someone an invite then you will need to launch the game” and so on and so on. I will then try it again after closing the application. It will repeat the same exact message. So then I restart the console. Once back on, the game I try starting is gone and I’m forced to download it again. This has happened twice. And I’m afraid it’ll happen again.

    Hi Havel, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

    To fix this, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

    POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

    ​​​

    1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

    2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​​

    If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

    Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

    Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

    Select Reset console.

    Reset and keep my games & apps.

    Thank you to everyone for your advice. I unplugged the external storage, waited 30 sexonds, then plugged it back again. Everything is back to normal now. 😀

    Hello CaTA4!

    Thanks for bringing this situation to our attention here on the forums. I recommend going into your settings. Under "System" select the option that says "Storage". From there you can view and transfer the contents of your external hard drive over to your
    internal drive!
