    Xbox Series X games causing Vertical Banding


    Whenever I’m playing an Xbox Series X game these 3 small green dashes appear on top of my tv screen. They are all equal part from each other and they make a vertical banding line that you can only see when there’s solid colors on the screen. Besides that the lines are almost impossible to see. My PS5 doesn’t do it and I’ve connected my Xbox to another tv and it doesn’t do the vertical banding. Also when playing regular Xbox one games or games that didn’t get the upgrade to series x graphics it doesn’t do it at all on my tv and everything’s fine. I’ve tried 3 different HDMIs and they all do the same thing. All HDMIs are 2.1 4K120hz compatible. I’ve tried every screen setting possible. Nothing works. It’s hard to distinguish if it’s my tv or the Xbox doing this. I’m not sure what to do to fix it. I’m playing on a Samsung Q900R QLED 8K TV. Only on Xbox series X playing series x games on my tv that this happens. This doesn’t happen just watching regular Netflix and tv on my tv.

    horizontal is best, because heat rises. Vertical with the series X is best for this reason

    Problems with the xbox: bands on the screen

    it has bands only with the xbox. I changed the TV about one month ago because the old tv brake while playing on xbox (tv had black vertical bands on the right side and then it shuts down)

    There is no Guitar Hero drums for the Series X or S. There is Rock Band drum kits for the Xbox One, which should work on the Series X|S consoles, but as SwordofWhedon said, they are now expensive, and can be very hard to find now.
