    Xbox Series X Game streaming to Windows 10 PC


    Hi, I've opened the app on my PC and added the device (Xbox Series X) but when I click on Stream it tells me that this isn't activated on teh Xbox and to check my Settings/Prefrences, I'e checked these and Streaming is turned on. I've tried turning the settings
    on and off and rebooting etc but still get the same issue.

    Is there an update for the Windoes app or is this an issue?

    Why is there an xbox companion app and an xbox app for PC? Just put all the features in one app.

    Hello amramlinebarger, sorry to hear you're having trouble.

    The Xbox Console Companion app is mainly for Windows 10 and allows you to stream your Xbox One to One X consoles on Windows 10. This app does not work with the Series X/S consoles though and the Xbox app is recommended for streaming to your PC if you're running Windows 11.

    If you are running Windows 11 the only way we'd ask you to try installing the app is if you were having trouble with your Xbox games just to see if that would help.

    it will work with all iterations of the xbox one, and windows 10 pc's. obviously it will have the best quality on series x and semi descent windows pc's.

    The Series S and X controllers work on same devices the earlier controller can connect to. This includes:

    Xbox One Game receiver for Windows 10

    Bluetooth (PC, Android, iOS)

    Xbox One, One S, X and Series X/S.
