    Xbox Series X freezes - All games - Campaign (not online multi-player)


    I've had my Xbox Series X for roughly 2 weeks, and I have not been able to play any games designed for the Series X without them freezing or crashing during gameplay (Xbox shuts completely down).

    I have not been able to play COD: Vanguard, Forza Horizon 5, or Halo Infinite.

    I've done a hard reset twice; I've uninstalled the games and reinstalled them; and my system has been updated.

    My older Xbox One games play fine.

    At this point, I want a full refund. It's absolutely ridiculous that I've paid $500 for a system that clearly has numerous technical issues.

    If anyone can offer assistance before I return this thing, please let me know.

    I’m in the same boat! I’m trying to play Halo Infinite on Campaign mode and it crashes after about 10mins. I’ve not even done the first level!

    This also happened with Call Of Duty Black Ops in Career mode when that came out. Just sent me straight back to Home screen half way through a mission.

    I’m wondering if it’s anything to do with digital downloads, instead of a disc versions. Either way it isn’t on…

    Multiplayer on any game is absolutely fine.. but it seems to struggle(can’t do) campaign/career modes🤬
    My console was crashing with the disk version of NBA 2K22. Ever since I sent it off for repair I have had ZERO issues. I think some of the consoles are faulty or either something goes wrong inside over a period of time.

    Did you send if off for repair through Microsoft? If so, how do I do this?

    Wow man. That's crazy. Join the party. It's been a known issue ever since the console released. Crashes and shutdowns have been happening while playing multiple Series X enhanced titles. I recently had to send my console off for repair. It's only three months old. NBA 2k22 caused my console to crash and shutdown multiple times. Someone told me it was NBA 2K's fault but this has to be a Microsoft hardware or software issue.

    Your console is only two weeks old and crashing like that is a bad deal. The only recommendation they may give you is to contact customer support and try to get the issue resolved. You most likely will have to send it off for a warranty repair.

    If we're talking from a multi-player perspective, hands down the Call of Duty series. It brought so much to life when it came to online gaming. The campaign is pretty much predictable, tho.
