    Xbox Series X Flashing Black Screen


    I am using my Xbox Series X on a TCL tv with Roku that supports 4K HDR. When I play, the screen will flash black for a second and make an audible noise from the tv and then it goes back to whatever was on. It will happen only every so often but it is annoying when it happens. It happens when on the Home Screen as well as during streaming shows and movies on Hulu and Disney plus.

    Any fixes for that issue?

    I understand you’re having some trouble when trying to use your console with this TV. Let’s try to sort this out.

    However, before that, I would like to ask the following questions:

    Did you test the console on a different TV to verify if something similar happens?
    Is your console enrolled in the Xbox Insider program?
    Is this TV compatible with VRR, 120Hz, Dolby Vision, or similar features?
    Is this happening with more games besides Call of Duty?

    I am using the Asus 27 inch 4k 60 hz monitor. I am getting screen flash or flickering ( same thing ) . I seem to be getting after I use the crave app or the Netflix app. If I do a restart then play a game I do not get the flashing.

    Thanks for replying. Yea after more investigating its definitely something going from video apps to games on 4k 60hz monitors, come across a fair few people on Reddit having the exact same issue. Hopefully it'll be patched out in a future update. Restarting
    did the trick as a temporary solution.

    Can confirm same issue here but with a 4K 60Hz AOC display. Seems to start after using YouTube or Netflix, if I don't use those apps it's fine. Restart and the flashing will go away.

    I'm assuming it's just a software glitch that needs patching.
