Xbox Series X External HDD compatability

    Hello,

I have a quick question in regards to the Series X's storage compatability and whether it will be able to use my current external hard drive.

I have a lot of xbox one/ 360 games stored on my

Seagate Portable Hard Drive 1TB HDD - External Expansion; which supports USB 2.0 & 3.0.

Would these be playable on the Series X? Or, would I would need to find another compatible hard drive?

Thank you for any feedback you can provide.

    :)

Slow Xbox one x (Not Series Console)

Fyi series consoles are just xboxes series x or s

    Not xbox one series

    Just to reduce the confusion

You gotta remember people mistake xbox one x for a series x when it comes to requirements for example flight simulator

With xbox one games they don't have a listing for s or x they are all compatible

Where series s or x just means digital or disk

Disk games don't work with series s or one s digital edition

    Back to your problem.

Are you using an external hdd ?

Also when it slows down again is it because you are filling up your hdd?

As space becomes less computers do slow down

It would be better to get an external drive and put infrequent games on there so you don't too much things on your internal drive

yes you can play all your games from your hard drive you can plug a 3.0 hard drive in to the new xbox series x and can copy xbox series x games to the hard drive but you will need to copy them back to the xbox if you want to play them again

    Missing Xbox gold game

Do you use an external HDD? I'm sure most do. I have a 4TB external as my main HDD with every Forza on it including 5. When you get Series X, it's as simple as unplugging the HDD and plugging it into the USB on the Series X. Done. All games will be playable
and benefit from some enhancements. (still need to see more info on this, exciting nonetheless)
