Xbox Series X - DVD No sound when playing disk

I preordered starfield- then to play early I installed it from gamepass and have been playing for a week. Now I received the disk from my preorder- how to I get the xbox series x to install the game from the dvd. Disk is in the reader but xbox just ignoring it

If it is a disk game and you are trying to transfer to an xbox one s digital or the xbox series s then no you are waisting your time

Those are digital only consoles and disks installs require the bluesy or dvd to validate the install

Digitally purchased game's can be transfered to save time yes

If it's to an xbox one x or regular xbox one s or xbox series x disk and digital will work with them

Why in heaven's name would you stick a blurays disk into a DVD drive ?

Xbox 360 is backwards compatible not forward compatible

Xbox 360 hasn't had any new games in over a decade

If you are going to series s only digital games will work

If you are going to series x both disk and digital will work as long as you have the disk to validate each time you play that game

Any external drive wouldnt work

One it needs to be the same speed as xbox x series

A dvd usb drive wont read bluray disks

And at the expense of a bluray reader plus the additional hardware you might as well buy an x series

Why would you buy something you dont need if you need to read disks

There is huge difference between x and s

And S ISNT DESIGNED FOR DISKS

And the software would refuse it

3 the s series downloads have lower file sizes since its less capable

And yes the servera detect this

So you dont need 4k files

You do realize you only have a 512gig ssd in the s series right? And thr cpu and gpu arent the same aa the x series because of the limited hardware in the s seriea the downloads are smaller

If you want disks buy the right product
