    Xbox Series X Duplicate (DUP!) ICMP Packets


    Can anyone explain why pinging the Xbox Series X while a game is being played results in receiving duplicate responses? I have verified that I do not have another device on the network using the same IP. As best I can tell this is not normal and might be the cause of network inconsistencies. Any help would be great.

    100% packet loss still

    most likely due to the DDoS attacks, one method of overloading a server is to bombard it with ICMP requests, which are pings, so MS most likely disabled the server from responding to pings to stop the flood of packets and would show up as 100% packet loss
    because your Xbox is sending ICMP and the MS server is just refusing to respond to them.

    Ask your Provider what MTU is used. Maybe you can set this in your Router? Also ask your ISP if he drops ICMP packets. In most Routers ICMP pings are blocked. you can unblock them. What Router do you use?

    Hi, if you can, log on to your router and enable ICMP packet support if it is not already set, that might help. I had to enable this on my Netgear, so worth a try.

    I have a 100% packet loss with a wired connection on my series x and I can't figure out why or how to fix it any suggestions?

    I am having the same issue. Both hard wire and wireless, I am having 100% packet loss. I have contacted my internet provider, they have already checked the system and on there end everything is great. On my PC I am having no issues. On my PS5 no issues, no packet loss. However on my xbox series x and my xbox one x, I have 100% packet loss and get booted from online games every 3-6 mins.

    Your rules don't mention the duplication glitch. As such, someone could dup all the MOB drops and have all the parcels in 20 minutes time. Of course, even if it was in the rules, you can't tell and duped MOB drop from a non-duped MOB drop.
