Xbox Series X - Downloads slow to a halt after downloading a few GB of game data

Download speed is in kbps even though the network speed test in the console is showing more than 100 Mbps. This is on wired connection! Checked the same wired connection on my laptop and the speed and latency are 100 Mpbs and 10 ms respectively. This issue does not occur in my PlayStation, only in the Xbox.

How do I fix this?

Hi, I hope you're doing great despite the issue you're experiencing. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

To fix this, kindly perform an extended powercycle and reset your network hardware by following the steps below:

1. Unplug the power cable from the back of the router, modem, or gateway for 5 minutes. If you have a router and a modem, unplug the power cable from both devices.

2. Press and hold the Xbox button on your console for 10 seconds or until it turns off then wait for 2 minutes before turning it on again.

3. After 5 minutes, plug the modem or gateway in first, and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

4. If you are using a router, plug in the router and wait for all the lights to return to their normal state.

After a very slow download and getting the same error I was able to download the game to my Series X to test it. There may be a problem with the download servers for this game, try installing it again in a few days.

Can you please confirm how your Xbox One S connects to the internet? Also you may wish to follow the guide below for slow app and game downloads.

Ready to start with me and that it had loaded probably the pre-sorting hat sequence. The game will continue to download as you play, and get into the sorting hat is approximately an hour. The game currently shows on my hard drive as 40 GB even And it's completed downloading. It's possible. If you're playing on an Xbox one or one S that that version is smaller than the Xbox one X version that would've downloaded to my series X. But I have no way of seeing that

I just noticed the Xbox one version has a 10 GB texture pack for a total of about 28 GB for the base game. This may be exclusive to the one X version
