Xbox Series X double starts

Hi,

I have an xbox series x. When turning the xbox on with a controller the system will turn on then immediately turn off and start again. No warnings or errors appear on screen This happens about 75% of the time and has been happening for months now. Is there a way to fix this issue?

Does this happen if you use the console on/off button?

Is the console OS and the controller firmware up to date?

regarding your issue, I have two questions to start with.

1. Are you using the same account on the console as the one that was used to redeem the code?

2. please double check if the code you purchased from Walmart was that for Xbox One or Xbox Series X|S ?

So just to double check - if I get a Series X and I plug my hard drive into it, I won’t be able to play MWII? I will have to re purchase the game as the Series X version?
