Xbox Series X doesn’t connect to the internet.

Hi, Im using an Xbox Series X and trying to connect to the internet with WIFI, wireless connection.

I’ve first encountered this issue today and yesterday it was working fine. Other devices on my network are fine and can use the internet without any trouble. I’ve tried connecting my Xbox to my personal hotspot, my wifi and hard restarting the console [ Holding down Xbox Power button for 10+ seconds, Holding down power button for 10+ and then unplugging the console ] … Wifi router is fine and my personal hotspot is too.

Not sure what to do now. Any help is appreciated

Edit: To add, the console is able to recognise the strength of all networks available.

I had fixed the issue, how I fixed the issue was.

1. Unplugging the Console

2. Unplugging Router

3. Waiting 5-10 minutes

4. After waiting 5-10 minutes plug everything back in.

Then it seemed to work then… weird? But cheers thanks for the help

Hello TheCrazyGamr, if you have access to the settings of your router modem or your hotspot, try changing the Wi-Fi channel, even the frequencies of 2.4 and 5.0 have different channels, and depending on the channel you are on your Xbox may have difficulty connecting.

Same on muitiple xbox one x, xbox series x, xbox 360. Internet fine not connecting to xbox network.

Yes i know it doesn’t support dolby atmos but it supports dolby digital which xbox series x does and i connect xbox to hdmi into soundbar it does give me option for 5.1 but resolution drops to 1080p

The Xbox factory reset on the series X still did not work, it wouldn’t connect to the network. I connected my original Xbox one (2014) back up to my monitor and I was able to play online games just fine on there, same Microsoft account and internet that the series X was not connecting too. My Xbox series x keeps saying it has a hardware issue when trying to connect the internet, I’m pretty sure this proves it’s a physical problem with the hardware on my Xbox. I still have warranty on it and can return it and trade in for a new one. I’ll try doing this and seeing if the trade in one works.
